In July 2008, community members and representatives from the Southern Willamette Valley Groundwater Management Area Committee (GWMA) met to discuss groundwater issues in the valley. The group toured the management area, visiting key locations and test sites, to discuss potential contributions of nitrate to the groundwater. The tour accomplished several goals. In particular, the meeting created an opportunity for policy-makers, scientists, and community members to share ideas and ask questions and express concerns about potential threats to groundwater quality. The video tour briefly outlines some of the issues facing the groundwater management area and the affected communities. It captures discussion topics of the day and features interviews from a variety of participants.
