A free community class is being offered for
Coburg residents on lawn and garden techniques and other practices around your
home that will save you money now and protect our water supply for the future.
Because homes within the city of Coburg are on septic systems residents face
special issues with yard care and disposal of household chemicals. The class
will touch on a number of topics including: Understanding fertilizer, drip
irrigation, managing pests safely, basic septic system care, recipes for less
toxic household cleansers, and safe disposal options for many common of types of
waste.

Gail Glick Andrews, a water quality
educator from Oregon State University, will teach the
class on Thursday, November 7 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Coburg
Elementary School cafeteria.
Doors open at 6:00, so come early to browse displays, register for door prizes,
enjoy refreshments, and get a good seat. There is no charge for the class and
free materials will be provided.
